Food I am Thankful For: Gobble Gobble Edition

1.  Greek Yogurt- whether it be granola, honey, berries, or whipped cream (yes, I tried it), this lovely delectable has deterred me many a days from having ice cream (my favorite) for breakfast.  Here's to you slightly healthier option!!

2.  Granola Bars- yeah I know they are kind of the worst and not a go to snack, BUT when you are at work at the end of the day STARVING because you are asked to stay late: granola bars.  They have the little push-you-through till the end, and you can just keep them in your purse.  My favorites- Trader Joe's Cranberry Walks Into A Bar (or pumpkin, or fig, or apple, or blueberry), Cliff Bar Crunch Peanut Butter, Pret A Manger Apricot Bars (that's not what they are actually called but they're the granola bar they carry with the apricot glaze or whatever).

3.  Ordering Take Out (because it's a super thing now)- I let myself order take out once a week (lie).  Ok twice a week (better).  Ok three times a week when I haven't gone grocery shopping (best).  And with places like Seamless and Grubhub and all of those subway advertisements, I am lead to believe that everyone is doing it and I'm not spending tons of money ordering out (totally am, should just buy groceries and make my own dinner).  But you know what the best is?  Having leftovers so you can squeeze one or two extra meals out of that shit load of Indian food you just ordered.

stop judging me Harry, you got to got to go to Hogwarts where elves make baller food for you all day every day

4.  Eating Pumpkin Pie for every meal- I like to bake and I'm all about pumpkin pie.  Tis the season for pumpkin pie- I can technically stretch it from mid October to New Years!  When I make one (i.e. when the canned pumpkin shows up in grocery stores (PS I've tried it with real pumpkin and I can't taste the difference!)) I eat it for all meals because it isn't too sweet to not be considered a breakfast pastry and is technically a vegetable(?) for lunch and dinner consumption.  And whipped cream is the dairy.  I really need to get better eating habits.

5.  All Holiday Drinks Everywhere (and snacks!)- Starbucks, Jamba Juice, all restaurants, Trader Joes I mean everywhere has a special holiday something.  It's like a menu expansion just when you started to get sick of everything else on it.  Ya-hoo gingerbread everything.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

So yes he was gay and yes he did kill himself, I don't care, I'll be his platonic life partner.  Fine with me.  As long as I can wear the following dresses, etc.

Let's Play a Game....

Where are you going in that makeup?
Anja-Rubik-by-Inez-Vinoodh
1. Well if you get rid of this chick's cross earring she would totally have the best modern day Maleficent makeup ever.  Angelina, take some hints for your new movie.  (Don't see it?  Maleficent is an evil witch-lady and uses magic and conjuring for her meddling and this makeup appears to be taking over the girl's face, splattering down the side of her face.  The shiny metallics are perfect for spell creating.  The rest of her face is whited out so it gives her an other-wordly look too.)

(option 2- Jackson Pollack painting)

2.  Those eyelashes? Vogue Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas

3. Georges Seurat or Chuck Close paintings.... and basically anyone post impression

Natasha-Poly-by-Mario-Sorrenti-for-Vogue-Paris-May-2012-3

4. This is sort of obscure, but this is how I pictured the priests and priestesses to look like in The Temple of Him of Many Faces from the Song of Fire and Ice books.  Not a Game of Thrones nerd?  How about Asian Mimes?  I mean I know the corner has (I think) Japanese writing and she's Asian, but the aesthetic is in general distinctly Japanese just at a glance.  Whatever, it's great.

Music Monday: "I Was A Fool" Tegan and Sara

This song has that lovely piano bit that takes me back to 90s songs.  I feel songs from the 90s were all about that.  You know what else they were all about?  STARRING AT THE CAMERA.  Which in this video sorta drives me crazy.  Especially with that fireplace, super cheese, also very 90s.  Oh and also, the twins being in the room but the girl can't see them, this is very early 2000s.  Flashback music video.... Monday?  Whatever.  I'll just going to forget the music video and keep the song on repeat.
PS but their hair does SUPER ROCK in this video, good job stylists!
oh wait.  I just did a jobro gif.  yuck.  and i called them jobros.  extra yuck.

Beau Date Friday: Hugh Grant?

Exhibit A: Love Actually

.... and this really..... the best....

Exhibit B: About a Boy

BUT THEN....

you look him up on Wikipeida.... and you go waiiiiiiiittttt..... who cheats on Elizabeth Hurley?

And he's been married three times.

..... and then we realize it's just a character.  A character Hugh Grant is really good at playing.  It's just a movie.

SHIT.

Goin to the Chapel

So I was never one of those girls who planned their wedding out.  Sure, I talked about hypotheticals and thought about what I would do with my hair, but there was never a Friends Monica wedding book.  HOWEVER.  The Best Of Bridal Week for Vogue just popped up on my radar and really, who could not take a gander?  Here are my favorites.

The best of Bridal Week Fall 2014 Lanvin
(for my cupcake wedding (which will never happen, but I would totally try this on just for kicks), and how much more awesome is this with the arm tattoo?)

The best of Bridal Week Fall 2014 Marchesa
(the Greek-y hippy dippy wedding)

The best of Bridal Week Fall 2014 Rime Arodaky
(for my waif wedding, because that's the only way I would fit into this dress and have it look good)

The best of Bridal Week Fall 2014 Monique Lhuillier
(lace-tastic! the little elbow circles are great)
